The Civil Engineering Department at GP Palanpur, established in 1984, is one of the college's pioneering technical streams, training students in structural design, surveying and construction technology. It runs the Diploma in Civil Engineering and works alongside the Applied Mechanics Department, which teaches the mechanics and materials subjects the programme depends on.

Third-semester Advanced Construction Technology students visited the Aina Park Society construction site on Gatahaman Road, Palanpur, under staff members D. N. Sheth, P. D. Sheth and A. N. Patel. Students observed substructure and foundation work such as excavation, PCC, and reinforcement detailing, along with superstructure elements like formwork and concreting.
